Albert Villafania is a dedicated healthcare professional with a wealth of international experience and a passion for patient care. Originally from the Philippines, he now calls Avondale, Arizona, home. His nursing journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Pangasinan in 2008, and he later advanced his education with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Grand Canyon University (GCU) in 2023, earning his Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) credential.
With over nine years of nursing experience, Albert has worked in diverse healthcare settings across multiple countries. He began his career as a Registered Nurse in the Philippines, where he spent two years managing emergency cases and medical-surgical patients. Seeking new challenges, he then moved to Saudi Arabia, working for two years as a private nurse, delivering personalized care.
After relocating to the United States in 2016, Albert started as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) before transitioning to a Registered Nurse (RN) role, where he gained five years of experience in observation units and medical-surgical care. In January 2024, he stepped into his current role as a Nurse Practitioner, continuing his commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care.
Among his professional achievements, Albert is particularly proud of earning his Nurse Practitioner Licensure. Earlier in his career, he demonstrated excellence in customer service, receiving the Best Customer Service Representative Award while working at a T-Mobile call center in 2015. However, his greatest fulfillment comes from seeing his patients leave his office with smiles on their faces.
Outside of his medical profession, Albert values family time. His parents have joined him in Arizona, while his two siblings remain in the Philippines, frequently visiting on extended tourist visas.
In his free time, he enjoys watching anime and staying engaged with medical content on the Medicosis Perfectionalist YouTube channel—a unique way to relax while staying informed and sharp for his patients. He is proud to be part of the PNSM team, where he continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of his patients.
